Welcome to Circle Mood & Wellness. By using our app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Circle, you agree to be bound by these Terms when you create an account or use our services.

2. Our Service — Always Free

Circle is completely free. We will never charge for the current features. Any future premium features will be clearly communicated in advance.

Circle offers:

Daily mood tracking with personalised insights
Safe peer support circles
AI-powered wellness guidance
Gratitude journalling
Community support network

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 12 years old to use Circle (New Zealand law)
Users under 18 should have parental awareness
You must provide accurate registration information
One account per person

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Share harmful, abusive, or discriminatory content
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Share content that promotes self-harm or suicide methods
Spam or post irrelevant content
Impersonate others or create fake accounts
Share private information about others without consent
Use Circle for commercial purposes without permission
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the platform

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You own your content (mood entries, journals, circle posts). You grant Circle a limited licence to store and display it within the app for service delivery only.

5.2 Circle's Content

The Circle app, design, logo, AI wellness content, and all related materials are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute without permission.

5.3 Community Content

Content shared in circles is visible to circle members. Be mindful of what you share. Circle moderates content for safety.

6. Privacy

Your use of Circle is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

Circle reserves the right to:

Remove content that violates these Terms
Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

We use both automated systems and human moderation for safety.

8. Medical Disclaimer

⚠️ Important: Circle is a wellness support app and is NOT a medical service, therapy, or crisis intervention platform. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Circle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for content posted by other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Circle's liability for any claim is limited to NZD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible (except for severe violations).

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as Circle evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification with 14 days' notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
